Description

The best of both worlds! Built in 2005 on the narrow barrier island of Fenwick, this large and luxurious, multimillion-dollar home sits on the bay, but is located just two blocks from the ocean. If you walk to the beach it is a 6 minute walk, or you can use our two resident parking passes and park almost at the beach dune. Enjoy spectacular views of the bay from three sides of the house. Bring your own boat or paddle off from the private dock in one of the new kayaks. Swim in the ocean all day and return to the heated pool for a dip before dinner. Rental of this fabulous property includes two permits for parking 40 feet from the beach, plus the use of three kayaks and two beach bikes.

The house is perfect for your Fenwick Island home vacation rental for families with young children or groups of friends, Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations, and a place to gather after a day at the beach. It is also ideal for groups, three families, small religious or company retreats and small family reunions.

The house boasts three master suites — one contains a soaking tub and a large walk-in shower with two showerheads. Another bedroom includes a single and a queen; one bedroom has two sets of bunks; and the den offers one queen-size sleeper sofa and one regular sofa. If you do not like a sleeper sofa, we can move the twin bed into the den or an extra queen bed we have. Adjacent to the pool, the den also features a wet bar. Amenities include a fabulous cook’s kitchen with two refrigerators and two sinks, a 42” HD plasma TV, four more TVs with DVDs, and a party-size second-floor deck overlooking the bay and brilliant sunsets — a fabulous spot for evening cocktails for any occasion.

Delaware’s southernmost beach destination, Fenwick Island is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Little Assawoman Bay. Defined by its natural boundaries, the quiet coastal community offers the best of both worlds, with just a few blocks separating the tranquil bay inlets and docks on one side and the ocean breakers and pristine beach on the other. Rare magic is defined at sunrise and sunset; at Fenwick Island, both can be viewed over the glistening waters of the Atlantic.

Ocean City, Maryland, Fenwick’s action-packed antithesis lies just a few miles south.

For more than 75 years, Fenwick has been known as a fisherman’s paradise. You’ll see early risers on the beach at daybreak casting for bluefish, rockfish and flounder. For birdwatchers, hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts, the island boasts a 344-acre state park — one of the most beloved stretches of protected coastline on the Atlantic — complete with bathhouses, food service and handicap access to the beach.
